I know of no other free codecs that will handle 729a - I've looked in the past, but myabe someone else knows something I do not. For Connection I don't believe there is presently a way to get that licensed codec on the client machine legally - in Unity we pay Sipro a fee for each seat of VMO sold which covers the cost for the codec - CUC 2.0 doesn't have a VMO plug in so there's no licensed vehicle to package it up in. Acelp codec. I believe CUC 7.0 is supposed to have a full on VMO plug in that will include the 729a codec again.
MeisterSinger is a brand apart For one thing, they are the only watchmaker to offer only watches with a specific display, based on the “single-hand” concept – in various sizes, in various styles, with or without additional features, but always with one hand only to indicate the time. This has become a hallmark for MeisterSinger. Today, of course with the Mono-Aiguille idea fully preserved, the brand is launching a refreshing concept, with no less than 45 different limited editions, the MeisterSinger No. 01 City Edition, each of them as a tribute to the cities where its retailers are based.
As already mentioned, 45 different watches will be made, all in very limited editions ( from 5 to 100 pieces depending on the edition), and these watches represent 43 different cities around the world ( there will be 2 different editions made for Paris and Rotterdam), from London to New-York, to Sydney, Tokyo or Barcelona. All are based on the exact same watch, with identical look and specifications. The only difference between the MeisterSinger No. 01 City Edition watches will be on the caseback side, with the sapphire crystal being adorned with a printed silhouette of the chosen city’s skyline and a motto engraved in the surrounding steel along with the name of the city. The partner jewellers have selected a wide variety of texts, from traditional slogans such as “ Weltstadt mit Herz” (metropolis with a heart) on the Munich version to “ entre amis le temps ne compte plus” (Lyon), “The City that never sleeps” for New York or the defiant motto of Paris “ Fluctuat nec mergitur” – “Tossed by the waves but never sunk” on the city’s coat of arms.
A nice tribute and a discreet way to express your pride, without ostentatiously showing it on the dial of your watch. The MeisterSinger No.
1 City Edition is based on the most classical model of the brand, the No. Housed in a 40mm stainless steel case is a hand-wound movement – based on the Sellita SW 210 ( the same movement is used in the small ) – which is a simple but robust movement, which feels pleasant to look. It features 19 jewels, ticks at 4Hz and boasts 42 hours of power reserve. The case shape is in the vein of MeisterSinger’s production, with a large dial opening and a thin bezel.
It is entirely polished and comes attached to a vintage-inspired brown leather strap. The dial of the MeisterSinger No. 01 City Edition watches are all the same ( no mention of the city it pays tribute to). Only the italicised “City Edition” lettering at 6 indicates the significance of these special watches.
Limited Edition Tapis
The dial has a specific colour, unique to this “City Edition”, a pleasant dark grey tone with a sunburst pattern. The only hand (which tells the hours and the approximate minutes on a large and legible track), as well as all the markers, are done in white, however, the hour indexes are in a contrasting golden colour. Note: the Edition made for van Willegen, large retailer in Rotterdam, will be limited to 100 pieces and features a specific hand. These MeisterSinger No. 01 City Edition watches will be available in September from selected MeisterSinger retailers for a price of US$1,695 / 1,498 Euro. More details on. Since 2001 MeisterSinger founder Manfred Brassler has created his classical timepieces – with only one single hour hand with a fine needle point enabling the wearer to read the time on a hierarchy of indices – in the technical and cultural tradition of early watchmaking. German based but Swiss made, Brassler drew his inspiration from historical single-hand clocks, with dials that offer practical, clear readability such as classical gauges and measuring instruments still have today – and which makes them unmistakable. MeisterSinger Circularis Lion Brands Australia was recently announced as the exclusive distributor of the iconic brand for Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. “As a watch lover, I have for many years admired the unique aesthetic and mechanical workings of MeisterSinger,” says Lion Brands founder, Graeme Goldman.
“I am delighted to announce this partnership with a brand that I am personally and professionally passionate about, that has effortlessly created an impressive niche with their beautiful single hand watches. MeisterSinger’s ethos harks back to the origins of watchmaking and shows us how charming it can be to read the time in the simplest way possible.” To mark the new deal, MeisterSinger announced it will produce a City Edition 2017, Sydney Limited Edition of 10 pieces worldwide (top, and below), featuring a hand wound movement, 42 hour power reserve, and a 6-screwed exhibition caseback to reveal imagery of the Sydney Opera House and accompanying custom engraving.
